CLOTHES:
Your Wardrobe Matters

I didn't wear female clothing to begin with
so my wardrobe stayed relatively intact once I transitioned.
When I was younger, I used to wear a lot of sport branded
clothes like Nike, Adidas, etc. Part of the reason was because
it was gender neutral, the other reason was that I played
basketball in high school. Playing basketball saved me from
receiving too much bullcrap for dressing like a tomboy, although
I got my fair share of jabs.
After I started to transition, I added
polo shirts to my wardrobe, as well as dress shirts.
Having clothing with collars makes a huge difference, and I
hardly wear anything without them nowadays. I don't follow any
particular trends, but I like going the classy route and
flipping through the pages of men's magazines like GQ,
Esquire, and Men's
Vogue for ideas. If I see something I like, I'll buy
it.
In terms of colors, I also wear whatever
looks good on me. The only color I avoid wearing is yellow
because I don't want anything too close to my skin color. My
favorite color is red so I have a lot of red clothing. I also
like green, white, and pink. Yes, I'm a straight guy who wears
pink and can wear it confidently. No problems.
Clothing brands I'm a fan of: Lacoste, Calvin
Klein, Salvatore Ferragamo, Burberry, Banana Republic, American
Eagle, Abercrombie & Fitch, and Hollister.
