An organization based in Los Angeles for parents with transgender children. 

• The Transgender Law Center

Based in California, the authority on most transgender matters relative to the law from name changes, birth certificates, gender changes, etc. 

• Transgender Youth Clinic of Children’s Hospital Los Angeles

This place saved my life. Provided me with the information and means to transition from therapy to testosterone to check-ups, etc. I volunteer at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles to this day.

• The Los Angeles Gay and Lesbian Center

The LA Gay and Lesbian Center is an excellent place to seek legal help. I went there in 2006 to receive low cost assistance for my name change paperwork. Since then, I volunteer in conjunction with their staff to give transgender educational workshops.

• Penelope Voekel, MFT

The last therapist I ever needed. Penelope specializes in LGBT issues and was the therapist who directed me to Children’s Hospital. She used to be in Los Angeles, but she is now based in Northern California. 

• FTM Livejournal Community

This is a community for FTMs by FTMs and it’s a great place to meet and chat with other guys. You’ll get direct answers straight from the source. You need to have a livejournal account to join the community. On that note, livejournal has a ton of other FTM communities for help, not just this one. Through them, I was able to meet up with FTMs in my area and make lasting friendships.

• Hudson’s FTM Resource Guide

Hudson’s site is well known for being simple and informative. It has all the technical information on transitioning available.

• Michael’s Homepage

Michael is an FTM and one fo the first I talked to when I began my transition. He helped kick start my transition and I owe him for the wealth of information he provided. This is his homepage.

• UNDERWORKS

This is where I purchase my chest binders from. Underworks is trans friendly and will work with you to find the right binder. The most popular and the one I own is the double compression vest which I highly recommend.

• EARLY TO BED

Early to bed is an adult toy site where I purchase my packers from. They have a great packer called the packy for $12 plus shipping.
