Bathrooms are a major pain, I know, I've been through it all. Don't be intimidated by learning how to stand and urinate, there are many products available on the market to make the experience easy and much more pleasant. For money saving alternatives, I've heard many FTMs use medicine spoons or just their hands. The hands technique is outlined here: I can't really give personal advice in this department as I completely avoid public restrooms. Here are some devices:

 

 

Not every male (biological, trans, or otherwise) stands to urinate. It's a known fact that many bio males sit down in the stalls to urinate. Sitting in a stall is just as appropriate and nothing to be embarrassed of.
